Throughout the Quran and Sunnah, four specific words of remembrance are celebrated as the foundation of all worship: Tasbih, Tahmid, Tahlil, and Takbir.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) affirmed their unmatched station in Sahih Muslim (2137): > "The words most beloved to Allah are four: SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar. It does not matter with which of them you begin."
